lyrics
I wipe tears from my eyes again.
Yes, it's an uncommon trait in men to cry as much as I tend to now and then.
Still, I can't help the way I feel.
It's natural to me and very real.
My heart goes out to those who can't share the sentiment.
"What's wrong, what's wrong? Oh, come on, come on", is what they say. They can't understand it's just how I am, not just a long face.
And so I hide it when I can, if only to avoid some dumb debate.
I'd rather not get into it with them and let it pass.
Still, I can't help the way I feel.
It's natural to me and very real.
My heart goes out to those who can't share the sentiment.
"What's wrong, what's wrong? Oh, come on, come on", is what they say. They can't understand it's just how I am, not just a long face. It's not just a long face.
"Oh, there he goes again..."
"What's wrong, what's wrong? Oh, come on, come on", is what they say. They can't understand it's just how I am, not just a long face.
It's not just a long face.

What a joy to find this on bandcamp, having missed out on the vinyl rerelease. I'd only heard Strawberry Window prior to this, but I love that song and have done since first hosting it on Radio Scotland, back in the late 80s. This is exactly my kind of music, layered, anthemic guitars and great melodies. At times, it brings to mind another great lost band, The Train Set. Fabulous stuff. richardw27
